Flat-Roof Solar on TPO Roof

Just about any roof surface is eligible to harness solar energy. On this project, we worked with the roofer to integrate the TPO roof (which has cooling, reflective properties) with the solar energy equipment. This allows the homeowner to take advantage of the special solar tax credits combined with the new roof underneath it. Steel-support structures (like car ports) and roofing are not excluded from the solar tax credits if they are integral to the system.

"Too Much Shade" Home

"Too Much Shade" Home

The homeowner had been told by another company there was too much shading to install solar energy on the home, but we used our experience and leveraged the tight spaces to design a layout that included 26 panels on the back and sides of the home that are barely visible from the road.
