Grid-Tied Solar PV and Hot Water

Location: Tampa, Florida

Description of work: Solar Advantage installed a 10.5-kW photovoltaic (PV) system consisting of 42 solar panels on a standing seam metal roof.

On metal roofs: The client opted for a standing seam metal roof on his house specifically designed for installing solar panels to it. With metal there are no roof penetrations.

Client comments: “Everything went great. They were responsive and stayed in touch during the construction process. We had a few roof installation delays due to it being a new construction project, and they were extremely patient waiting to do the install. Once the roof was complete they were on site the next week for the full install. Everything went very smoothly, and I am excited to be generating my own electricity. Everyone was very knowledgeable and great to work with.”

What's next: The client is excited to be producing his own electricity and is soon having a solar water heater installed for his new pool.
